we are very happy to announce the IYSO 2026.

Once again this year we will work together to create a wonderful program. We are looking forward to registrations from all over the world and ask for forwarding to other interested musicians. All musicians must be younger than 27 years!
 

The International Youth Symphony Orchestra 2026 will take place from October 7th (day of arrival and first evening rehearsal) to October 20th (day of departure) 2026.

Young musicians from all over the world will take part in this project and you are hereby invited to participate. Professional musicians (for example from the Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra, Hamburg Philharmonic Orchester and The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen) will lead the sectional rehearsals.

All participants will stay with host families. Lunch and dinner will be held together with the other musicians. You will be fully insured by “Jugendhaus Düsseldorf” insurance and you will be given a ticket for public transport in Bremen.

The participation fee is 150,00 €. You will have to cover your own travel expenses.

Please note that the “responsible person” in the adjacent form refers to a person of your institution (Head of Delegation / School of Music / Home Orchestra / responsible person in the culture delegation of your city,....).

For musicians who need a visa to enter Germany this information is absolutely necessary. Otherwise we always get inquiries from the German embassies with questions about guarantors / responsible persons. In addition, we need a confirmation that the registered person has already made an appointment for the application for a visa at the German Embassy. Without this appointment confirmation we cannot confirm orchestra places!
